Return Policy

We know that consumers expect a product to work as stated, and at RenuGen Solar Generators we only deliver the best quality product every time. Our electrical components are sourced from only reputable suppliers and brands thus ensuring a final product that works day after day with almost no down-time over its operational lifespan.  But once in a blue moon a faulty component can lead to a non working solar generator. And if the fault is on our side, we'll gladly attend to your warranty claim in the shortest time possible.

Policy

Below is a summary of our return policy applicable on the RenuGen Solar Generators brand only.  The policy does not cover any other device that is also branded or named "solar generator" if that brand has been supplied by a fabricator, supplier or manufacturer other than RenuGen Solar Generators.

RenuGen Solar generators is a fabricator, supplier and distributer of the RenuGen Solar Generators Brand (TM) under a formal licensed agreement.  

  • Complete unit replacements under warranty are subject to the "User-Terms" as outlined below.  

  • Each RenuGen, MicroGen, EconoGen and PowerGen solar generators are each subject to their own guarantees and warranties as stated on the online store at the time of purchase.  In no way shall any of the branded units warranty or guarantee terms be applicable on the other.  

  • Replacement or repairs under warranty shall in no way shape or form cause the warranty period to extend, and the warranty period remains fixed and applicable from the date of purchase.

  • RenuGen Solar Generators cannot be held liable for any damage caused as a result of shipping, transport, transit, handling, theft, fire, delivery or other natural causes. Shipping costs do include shipping insurance, but does not cover re-shipping & delivery therefore, the purchaser shall be responsible for any other shippings or delivery or collection costs that arises as a result of a insurance claim.

  • Each solar generator has its maximum load rating as indicated in the technical specifications.  Safeguards have been implemented into the electrical system, and If a user willfully bypasses these safeguards and damage occurs as a result thereof, then the User will not be granted a warranty claim.

  • Any form of tampering with the solar generators hardware (or software, where applicable) shall immediate void the warranty.  

  • Any modifications, alterations, additions, subtractions, removal of any part or components, whether in part or as a whole shall immediately void the warranty and guarantee. Modular and additional solar panels supplied by RenuGen Solar Generators are not regarded as "modifications by the user" and will be exempted from this clause.

  • Damages as a result of improper handling, storage, transportation, incorrect operation, faulty components, improper maintenance or lack thereof, modifications or alterations, natural disasters, fires or theft does not qualify for a warranty claim.

  • Guarantees are not Warranties.  If a product is guaranteed for a period, it is our word of honor that the equipment provided will work as stated for the period of time, and that claims made under guarantees will in no way qualify as a warranty claim.

  • It is up to RenuGen Solar Generators to conduct an assessment of the equipment under warranty claim, and should it be found that the equipment may be repaired, RenuGen Solar Generators reserves the right to commence with repairs.

  • Replacement under warranty of a complete solar generator shall be subject to the "User-Terms" as outlined below.

  • Non-defective equipment do not qualify for warranty claims, nor any guarantee claims.

  • RenuGen Solar Generators do not offer money back refunds in any way or form, and repairs or replacements are the only mediums permitted under warranty claims.

  • Warranty claims made in no way extends the warranty period, and replacements or repairs remain applicable as per the initial warranty period.

  • RenuGen Solar Generators cannot be held liable for any fire, damage to equipment or property or loss of life as a result of faulty equipment, whether through lack of maintenance, faulty or damaged components, improper handling or by any natural disaster, when in use, stored or in transit.

User-Terms

  • A replacement warranty claim shall be accompanied with the users full telemetric data as recorded through the onboard bluetooth charge controller and mobile device (phone tablet, laptop etc).

  • Users are required to submit telemetric data for the last 6 months of operation for their warranty claim to be considered.

  • Warranty claims cannot be fully processed if users are unable to provide RenuGen Solar Generators with the required telemetric data, and could potentially result in a warranty claim not being granted.

  • Users are required to attend an online training course (free of charge) and proof of their training shall accompany the warranty claim.

  • Users claiming under warranty terms are required to provide proof of purchase, South African ID copy / Passport copy and fully comply with the User-Terms to qualify for a warranty claim.
